Single Speed to Budapest

In the Summer of 2014 Steve "Chopper" Haynes cycled a single speed Dahon fold up bike across four countries through central Europe. The trip took him between two two towns twinned with his hometown Christchurch, that were 1000km apart. Flying into Stuttgart Germany and finishing in Hungary, most of his trip followed the River Danube.

Touring alone with his camping kit on a bike designed for nipping to the shops without any gears, Steve had some terrific adventures as he followed the great river through Ratisbon, Vienna, Bratislava and on to Budapest. This book tells the story of that trip and you will meet some great people long the way as well as explore great cities and a number of historical characters.
